Breast Cancer: MBCF to deal with 5 suspected cases at Mpohor

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) has saved five residents of Mpohor in the Western Region after they were screened for breast cancer.

A total of 307 residents were screened for the disease out of which 5 suspected cases were recorded.

The exercise spearheaded by MBCF is in collaboration with the traditional leaders of Mpohor.

It is the second time the Foundation has visited the region as part of efforts to fight the disease.

In its intense fight against the dreaded disease, Mpohor adds to more than ten communities Meena Breast Cancer Foundation has implemented its sensitization and screening initiatives.

MBCF provides counseling and support for patients who are receiving treatment.

The Foundation goes to festivals and other events to offer breast screening opportunities for celebrants.
