  • MBCF in the Eastern Region on a three-day sensitization, breast screening campaign
A Germany-based philanthropist, Kodjo Tomegan sponsored the trip to the Eastern Region

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) is in the Eastern Region for a three-day tour of Senior High Schools in the area.

A team of the organization is in the region on its sensitization and breast cancer screening mission for students and staff of some selected schools.

The Foundation has intensified its activities to defeat breast cancer, which demands weightier financial muscle to treat.

MBCF normally does not sleep over in a community it visits but this time, it has decided to increase its coverage as it spends the three days in an area to attend to more schools.

It is committed to fighting the disease all year round contrary to the only October campaign.

The fact that many women are losing their lives day-in-day-out, requires more committed combat including financial investments.

Aside from spending huge sums of money on the treatment of affected women, the Foundation injects heavy amounts into its sensitization programmes.

Mr. Kodjo Tormegah, a Germany-based Ghanaian who contributes to supporting most of MBCF’s activities funded the outreach in the Eastern Region with Ghc 3,000.

The beneficiary institutions are the Ofori Panin Senior High School, the Christian Heritage, and St. Paul Technical Schools.

Thanks to Mr. Tormegah for his dedication to helping the underprivileged and the afflicted.
